Evelyn Shaw and Sylvia Wadzinski are sisters who recently established a scholarship with the Foundation as part of their estate planning. Evelyn was a local travel agent for many years. She and Sylvia had talked about creating a scholarship to help young students after Sylvia’s son had difficulty finding scholarships when he was in college.

The Scholarship Foundation welcomes 41 new scholarship recipients and 72 renewal recipients this year. We awarded $215,000 in scholarships to a total of 113 students for the 2016-2017 academic year.
We are pleased to announce a second scholarship from the Wilson family. The Marjorie H. Wilson Scholarship was added to the Foundation Named awards starting this 2016-2017 academic year. The Dr. James M. Wilson Scholarship was established in 2007.
